If one is washing any kind of Netilas Yadayim and there are utensils in the sink at the time, is there any change in the status of these utensils that have had “tomei” water poured over them?

It is permitted to wash netilas yadayim into the sink even when there are utensils present, provided they will be washed later.
Sources: Halichos Shlomo (chap. 20, note 11), in the name of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. Some authorities write that it is preferable to wash into a vessel (a bowl) and not into the sink, but the common custom is to wash into the sink (see Ishei Yisrael (chap. 2, note 72)).
