White Glass for Meat and Milk

Are white glass dishes acceptable for meat and dairy use just like clear glass?

Answer:

White glass has the same status as glass for purposes of milk and meat. Note that the custom among the Ashkenazi community is not to use glass dishes for meat and milk, but the Sephardic custom is to use the dishes for both.

This difference in custom has ramifications for use of dishes on Pesach, as well as for meat and milk. When there are questions of substantial loss, even Ashkenazi authorities are lenient, in particular for glasses and plates that are generally used as a keli sheini.
