Blender for Milky Vegetables

May I use an immersion in vegetables cooked in a milchig pot? I wish to keep the blender parve. Note: onions were also cooked but were cut with a parve knife.

Answer:

If the vegetables were cooked in water, they remain parev, and there is no problem of using the blender and keeping it parev. This assumes that the pot has not been used for cooking milk in the past 24 hours.

If, however, the onions were cooked in the pot without water, they should not be blended, for fear that the blender will become milky. This depends on the power of a davar charif to transmit taste to the blender, and we have discussed the issue in the following posts:
