Looking at Women for Purposes of Marriage

Where is the makor that it’s muter to look at a woman that one may perhaps get married to?

Answer:

The source is from Kiddush 41, where the Gemara writes that it is forbidden to wed a wife without seeing her first.

The Rambam (Issueri Biah 21:3) thus rules that it is permitted for a person to look at and check out a woman where the intention is to possibly marry her.

Another source for this can be brought from the Mishnah at the end of Taanis concerning the ring of girls who used to dance before men, for the purpose of selection for marriage.
