Davening in Same Minyan

One who comes late to shul in the morning and misses selichos with a minyan may he say it by himself later in the day or after shachris. Even though there might be another minyan for selichos but he’ll then miss his normal shachris minyan and where has to be in the morning.

Answer:

He should say selichos with a minyan, for otherwise he won’t be able to say the 13 Middos.

If he is concerned about davening with his regular minyan, he can daven shacharis with his minyan, and join a different minyan later for selichos. In general, there is no obligation to daven with the same minyan every day, though there is a virtue of davening in the same place.
