Blowing Shofar with Bleeding Gums

Someone who’s gums bleed every time they blow shofer (with a certainty) is it muter for them to be the bal taka’ah on Rosh HaShanah?

Answer:

This seems to be a very unrealistic situation.

However, if it a full certainty that blood will be drawn, it will not be permitted to blow the shofar, because this could involve a full Torah prohibition (many rule according to the opinion that mekalkel be-chaburah is a Torah prohibition; see, for instance, Biur Ha-Gra 331:10).

Best wishes.
