Is it assur to go to the shower in mikvah post-mikvah dunking (for a man)? Was there ever a gezerah by rabbonim against this so people would not confuse that its not the shower that is part of the taharah process?
Answer:
It is permitted for a man to take a shower after the mikvah.
The decree of not showering after immersion (see Rema 201:75) applies to Torah immersions (including a woman’s immersion for Niddah), and not to a man’s immersion which is done as tevilas Ezra or for extra tahara (for which even mayim she’uvim are valid for tevilah).
