Allocation after Mental Decision

I was recently in the States and someone gave me $200 for hachnasas kallah. I mentally allocated it to a chasan in the States but forgot to give it his family member. I never verbally allocated the money to this chasan.
My question is: Now that I am here in Eretz HaKodesh, can I give this money to a different chasan/kallah?

Answer:

Yes, you can give it to a different cause.

A mental allocation does not invoke a specific neder, and therefore you are free to allocate as you wish.

Please see our Laws of Charity for sources and further details of this.

Best wishes.
