Is it OK to keep seforim in a bedroom of a married couple?
Answer:
This can be a problem. Sefarim in a bedroom should be covered when engaging in marital relations.
For printed and bound sefarim it is sufficient to have a single covering, such as a blanket or sheet that covers them up. Although the Mishnah Berurah is stringent for printed material, other authorities were lenient, and some write that the front and back covers are considered one “cover,” so that one additional cover is sufficient (see also Biur Halachah 240 concerning sefarim about 10 tefachim).
