Can I use something like this for both meat and dairy: https://www.cuisinart.com/products/grills/gr-300.html. I understand that if the plates are reversible that I wouldn’t be able to. But if I were to purchase two sets of plates would I then be able to switch off? Wouldn’t we liken it to having two different pots, one meat and one dairy, that rest upon the same heating element? Thanks!

Answer:

Yes, if you have two sets of plates you can use one set for dairy and the other for meaty. This will be fine, provided that you are careful to keep the appliance clean, and refrain from contact of food with other parts of the appliance.

Best wishes.
