Charity for Somebody Receiving Tuition Break

If I receive tuition break from my children’s yeshivas does that mean I really shouldn’t be giving tzedeka (e.g. $10 a month to “adopt a kollel”)perhaps I am obligated to always forward that money towards tuition?

Answer:

If your level of income exempts you from part of tuition, this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t give tzedakah.

You can continue to give tzedakah according to your means.

Best wishes.

Please see here for details of the obligation to give charity, even for somebody poor.
