Hi,
I have freelancers overseas that do jobs for me.
when it is Friday morning by me, it is Saturday night by them.
Am I allowed to use them Friday mornings?
– sometimes I need from them a job to be done instantly
– sometimes I tell them that I need it ready for Sunday morning and there is enough time to do it after shabbos if they want
– in the above case when they choose to it right now am i alowed to answer there questions or tell them modifications to do.
Am i allowed to use the freelancers in the above 3 situations and is it lekatchilah?

Answer:
You can ask a freelancer to do a job for you whenever you need it done, with the exception of a job that can only be done on Shabbos. The time of “Shabbos” depends only on Shabbos where he is, and not on Shabbos where you are.
If the job can be done outside Shabbos hours, you can ask him to do the job and you don’t have to be concerned about whether or not he actually chooses to do it on Shabbos on now.
This is all on a lechatchila level.
