Debarking a ship on shabbat
What are halachic issues?
Does it make a difference if boat docks Friday?
Answer:
There is no prohibition of disembarking on Shabbos.
However, one issue will be the presence of an eruv between the ship / dock and the adjacent area, in which case carrying is forbidden.
There is also an issue of techumin, meaning a question of how far you can travel on Shabbos outside of a residential area.
