Even when there will be eiva, does that allow one to put himself in that situation? Thanks
Answer:
It is forbidden to enter a residency program which will require any form of Shabbos transgression. There are many residency programs that are compatible with keeping Shabbos and one of these options must be pursued. There is no eivah concern for one who does not join a residency. Eivah is when someone finds himself in a situation to save a life, he may do so for eivah.
