meat in pareve pot

Question:

We were cooking grains in a pareve metal pot and by accident poured in a can of chicken soup to continue cooking. How can we kasher the pot if we want to keep using it as pareve?

Answer:

The best way to kasher the pot is through “Hagoloh”. i.e. by immersing it into a bigger pot of boiling water, and then rinsing it off with cold water. If you don’t have a bigger pot perhaps you can borrow one or alternatively some neighbor- hoods have a “Hagolas Kelim” every erev Shabbos mevorchim. Behatslocho!
