Is a wife required to return a diamond ring if a get is being given? What if the husband was told by bais din that his possessions become hefker if not removed from the wife’s residence by a certain date, and the ring wasn’t claimed at that time together with the rest of his possessions?
Answer:
Very difficult question. Although in many instances the jewelry is returned to the husband maybe this case might be different based on what the husband was told by the Beis Din. I suggest that this matter should also be brought to the attention of the Beis Din. Behatslocho!
