Question:
If one made a bracha while facing a person who was wearing a cross on his or her neck, without realizing it, is the bracha valid? What about other prayers? Should one avoid doing this in the future? Before making a bracha in a place where they are goyim, should one look around and make sure that one isn’t facing some goy who is wearing a cross?
Answer:
In the future you should try to look away and turn to the side. If you are with non Jews more and do not see a cross in front of you a bracha can be recited.
