How can one apply the law of Eye for Eye, when Christ teaches that should turn the other side of cheek to be Slapped?
Answer:
Even though the scriptures write “Eye for Eye” the Rabbis explain that the words are not to be taken literally but one has to pay the value of the lost eye.
