I know that you get 40 lashes for eating a non-kosher animal, and you get 40 lashes for eating a meal of milk and meat. If that is the case, if you eat a bacon cheeseburger, for example, would you get 40 lashes or 80 lashes? It is one action, but you perform two aveiras simultaneously.


IF the burger is made of bacon and cheese, the person will only get 40 lashes, because the biblical prohibition of milk and meat is only if the meat is from a kosher animal. If there would be bacon and kosher meat in the cheese burger, then he would get 80 lashes.
