Is someone allowed to go to visit the Amish people and ask them questions about their beliefs or is it prohibited because he is investigating another religion?
Answer:
We are not allowed to investigate into other religions, and if this is what the person will be doing when he goes there he should not go. See Rambam Hilchos Avoda Zara 2-2,3.
