Warming cooked meat on Shabbat

Question:

Can cooked salt beef which has no liquid and is vacuum sealed be warmed on Shabbat morning in water that was put on a belch before Shabbat. BTW I am Sephardi

Answer:

We may not put any food, even if it already precooked, into a pot of food or hot water on shabbos. The reason for this is that it looks like cooking. the name of this prohibition is called Nesina Lechatchila. You may however place the meat on top of the hot pot, and it is permitted even if the meat will get very hot, since the meat has no liquid in it. The reason for this is because this is not the normal way that people cook, therefore it doesn’t have an appearance of cooking and it is permitted.
