Conversion for non-Jewish husband

Question:

Dear rabbi,
Can a beis din convert a non-Jewish partner (who intends to fulfill all the Mitzvos) of a Jewish woman who is not (and does not intend to start) living a Shomer Shabbos lifestyle? Is this done in practice?
All the best

Answer:

I am not actively involved with Batei Din that deal with geirus, but I would find it hard to hear an orthodox Bais Din allowed a person to convert under such conditions. Since his wife is a nida, and she can’t be trusted to serve him kosher, since she doesn’t respect it, how can he reasonably accept all of the mitzvos upon himself?   Therefore I would assume that it would be hard for them to accept him like this.
