kohanim and corpses

Question:

Are medical students who are Jewish kohamim allowed to dissect cadavers for the medical training purposes under Halachic law?

Answer:

A kohen has to be careful not to become tameh from a corpse, even if it is the corpse of a non Jew, therefore dissecting a cadaver, even if it not a Jewish one, is not allowed for kohanim. This aspect makes it very difficult for a kohen to become a medical doctor.
