What does the Shir Hashirim Rabbah 4:11 mean when it says that Har Hamoeiyah is called that because from there arirah and dever to the umos haolam?
Answer:
The likutim on that Midrash says that the reason is because umos haolam were offered the torah and they refused. Therefore since the torah is on har hamoriah, (since the Aron Hakodeash is there) therefore it is a place it is from there, that the punishment emanates.
