Question:

Thank you. Why do we say (by Korbanot of Musaf) “Et Musfei” on the 2nd Day of Yom Tov? I understand on the 1st day to say it so that it includes the Rosh Chodesh Korban (which is ‘concealed’), but why on the 2nd Day? Thank you.

Answer:

The second day of Rosh Hashana is considered one long day to with the first day, therefore almost everything we do on the first day, we will do on the second day. Besdies the reason we have two days Rosh Hashana is because there were times that Rosh Chodesh was actually on the second day.
