Is Tefillas Shmoneh Esrei a hefsek for seudah?

Question:

Sometimes I’m working in my office and it gets time for Minchah — because of my location I most often daven in the office. At times I’m b’emtze seudah, and I have kavanah to continue eating after Minchah. Is davening called a hefsek? According to which poskim?

Answer:

It is not considered a hefsek, and you do not have to make another bracha when you continue eating. This is according to the Shulchan Aruch and other poskim, and there aren’t different opinions about it. Regarding washing your hands there are different opinions if you left the place you are in order to daven, but that is not applicable in your instance.

Best Wishes
