Washing hands before davening

Question:

Is there a limud zchus on the many ppl who aren’t makpid to wash hands before davening Mincha/mariv?

Answer:

Interesting question. I don’t know. Maybe if they think that by going to wash their hands t will cause them to miss tefila b’tzibbur, they are allowed to wipe their hands on something and then daven.
