Question:
My kids were playing with a pair of regular sunglasses on Shabbos. They were putting the lenses in and out of the frame. Is one allowed to do this as it is not considered permanent or is it the same halacha as regular glasses where one cannot put the lens back?
Answer:
I don’t see why they should be different that regular, since they do last, and it is fixing them. If the lenses are not in the frame well and they fall out often, then the halacha would be different even for regular glasses.
