A group of women would like to do a Women’s only Friday Night Kabbalat Shabbat in a synagogue hall , is this allowed? Some communities do allow it however, I have come to realise that a community may do it but it doesn’t mean it’s correct.

Regarding your question you are very correct and perseptive, just because there are people that do it doesn’t automatically make it correct. Halachically there is no problem with women getting together to daven kabbalat shabbat. However if it is appropriate for them to do so will depend on why it is being done and the individual setting. Therefore you should consult the local orthodox rabbis, who understand the situation in your area, and they should advise you on this.
