It says in poskim not to wear Shabbos clothes during the week. May one be lenient in the case of a date or a job interview, since there is also a mitzvah involved here and one needs to make a good impression?
Answer:
I think so. We see that Rus put on Shabbos clothes for her “date” with boaz. See Rashi Rus 3-3.
In the sefer Kovetz Halachos (Piskei Rabbi Shmuel Kamenetsky) on page 122, He writes that even if someone is careful not to put anything into his clothing on Shabbos (like the Gra) nevertheless he has to check is clothing before Shabbos as there are time that a person wears Shabbos clothes during the week.
