My father z”l’s 1st yahrtzeit is coming up on Tzom Gedala. When should the seudas yartzeit/siyum take place? Motzei Rosh hashana, very late and after 2 days of eating but its the right day or motzei tzom gedalya, not the right day but more practical I think, that way some grandchildren can come in from out of town to participate
Answer:
If it isn’t practical to make the siyum then, it can be done the next night also, as it is within three days of the yahrtzeit.
