Scraping tongue on shabbos

Question:

Is it permissible to use something to scrape my tongue on shabbos. Such as an ora brush https://www.orabrush.com/orabrush/ Or a spoon. This is done to remove stuff causing bad odor. If you take a look at the link for the brush you will see. Ty

“The Orabrush® Tongue Cleaner features ultra-soft, micro-pointed bristles that reach deep into the uneven crevices of your tongue to loosen and lift away stinky bacteria. These bristles are designed after a surgeon’s scrub brush. The scraper then collects and removes the bacteria and residue generated from brushing, helping fight bad breath.”

“Fight bad breath with the micro-pointed bristles and built-in scraper on your Orabrush”

Answer:

Scraping your tongue with a spoon should be permitted, just don’t make it bleed etc, which I don’t think will happen, and even if the spoon will dislodge some skin cells from your tongue the poskim say that they are not noticeable and you don’t have to worry about it. Regarding using a brush with bristles, it would have the same halachos as using a toothbrush on Shabbos.

Best wishes
