Can an organization accept tzedaka from a married woman?

Question:

Can a gabbai tzedaka or tzedaka organization accept a large contribution from a married woman without confirming that she has her husband’s permission to make the donation?

If a husband does want to get the money back must he request to have it returned within a specific time frame?

Answer:

A gabbai should not accept a large donation from a married woman precisely for this reason, (see Y:D 248-4) and by taking it it can be geneiva. If indeed the husband did not allow it, like any other stolen money, it should be returned as soon as possible.
