Mixed Up Charity Money

Question:

On Erev Yom Kippur, the bima in Shul fell and along with it went all the bowls of tzedoko tumbling to the floor. All the money is now mixed up – what should one do?

Answer:

If there is no one in particular responsible for the tzedakah money, while it’s difficult to clearly delineate the proper course of action, it seems that this case would be comparable to the Nesivos Hamishpat in Choshen Mishpat 292:16, and all the money should be divided equally among the bowls.
