The Talmud teaches that the “righteous” go to Heaven, referring to those whose deeds are perfected, and whose ways are mended. As the Talmud explains, the biblical references to a “long life,” and promises that “it shall be good for you,” refer primarily to the Afterlife.
Note, however, that the Mishnah also states that the entire nation of Israel has a place in the World to Come, meaning that there are also hidden paths, known to G-d alone, for bringing even those who are not righteous to their place in the Afterlife. This might be after they are cleansed of their sins, through reincarnations, or by other means that are concealed from us.
