I am interested in purchasing a Lodge 3-qt. Cast-Iron Covered Chicken Fryer from Target on-line. It states in the description: •Arrives pre-seasoned and ready to use. Will this pre-seasoned pan be Kosher for cooking?

If the pan is pre-seasoned, and the ingredients used are unknown, then the pan would not be kosher for cooking with, and would require hag’alah prior to doing so.
Although many are lenient with regard to new pans in general, in this case, where the pan is specially seasoned for future use, one would have to be concerned for non-kosher ingredients.
