Can I be motzi someone else in Tefilas Haderech, or does each person have to say it himself?

Answer:

There is no problem with one person being motzi another in tefillas haderech. In fact, when there are more than two people, it is preferable that one should be motzi the others, on account of the pricniple of berov am hadras melech (there is greater glory for the King in numbers).

  1. Lkavod Harav, based on the Yerushalmi Brachos 3:3 isn’t it better not to rely on others unlike stated above?
