Trimming Nails for Shabbos

Theres an inyan to cut ones nails on erev shabbos? Does this include the nails of the feet as well? If so, one should not have the nails (HANDS AND FEET) placed together? Whats the best way to trim both hands and feet nails?

Answer:

There is a mitzvah of cutting one’s nails each week, in honor of Shabbos.

This refers specifically, or at least mainly, to fingernails, and not to toenails, which cannot be seen.

Some are particular, based on Magid Meisharim, not to cut finger- and toenails on the same day. Although this is mentioned in the Magen Avraham, not all are careful to avoid this. The Magen Avraham writes that one should cut toenails on Thursday.

Sources: See Magen Avraham 260:1; Machatzis Hashekel 1; Eliyah Rabba 260:5; Kaf Hachaim writes that the Arizal was not particular concerning the issue of cutting fingernails and toenails on the same day.
