Is it permitted to eat sole now (or does the fish still have issues of bug infestation)? What about salmon?
Answer:
There are certain types of sole (such as yellow belly sole) that must be checked for bug infestation. I believe that sole can be obtained with a hechsher concerning infestation. Concerning salmon, I understand that Norwegian and Chile Salmon is fine, though one has to check the skin.
