I’m 8 years old and my father taught me to try to say 100 brachos a day. I write down every bracha i say in a notebook. On shabbos I am unable to do so. Can I count the brachas by having two bowls one filled with 100 gum balls, and one empty. Whenever I make a bracha I’ll place one gum ball in to the empty bowl untill i reach the 100. In this way I’ll be able to count my brachos on shabbos. Is this allowed on shabbos?
Answer:
This is entirely permitted, and a good idea. Just don’t eat all the gum balls!
Saying 100 berachos a day is a very special thing, and I hope you manage to keep it up!
Good luck and best wishes!
