Hallel and Bringing Offerings

I’m confused by Hallel wherein my translation states: “To You I will bring an offering of thanksgiving, and proclaim the Name of the Lord. I will pay my vows to the Lord, now, in the presence of all His people, in the courtyards of the House of the Lord, in the midst of Jerusalem…” in view of the Torah which states “That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt observe and do; according as thou hast vowed a freewill-offering unto the Lord thy God etc…” Does this mean that someone who accepts the yoke of Torah will need to fly to Jerusalem and burn a cracker in the courtyard after reciting Hallel or what?

Answer:

The text of Hallel does not mean to proclaim a vow, which one has to pay by bringing an offering to the Temple.

In Hallel we sing the words of King David, who states that on account of the great goodness that G-d bestowed upon him, he will fulfill his vows to G-d, publicly demonstrating his gratitude to Hashem.

This does not mean that we, who make use of the great words of David in our own praise, mean to pledge an offering.
