Common Law Marriage

If my fiancee and I apply for common law marriage will it interfere with us being married in a Jewish ceremony next summer?

Answer:

No, there is no problem in being married according to common law, and later doing the Jewish ceremony. The two don’t have any connection, and until the Jewish ceremony is complete, the common law marriage does not have bearing in halachah.
