Pesukim of Parashah Masei

What is the dispute regarding the number of pesukim read for Parshas Masai (Levi) on Sheini and Chamishi.

Answer:

There are variant customs concerning the reading of parasha Masei, with regard to stopping in the middle of the masa’os. The Magen Avraham (428) cites from “Tzeror Ha-Mor” that the list of the forty-two masa’os must always be read in its entirety, and that the reader should not stop in the middle. This is cited in Shaar Efraim, in Aruch Hashulchan, in the Mishnah Berurah, and in the Kaf Hachayim.

However, the common custom is to follow the order printed in the siddurim, which does stop in the middle of the masa’os in the Sheini reading for Monday and Thursday, and in the sheini reading of Shabbos. Still, many refrain from doing so, following the ruling of Tzeror Ha-Mor.
