Touching Upper Arm of Tefillin

Sometimes when one puts on tefillin by mistake a person might touch his upper arm before putting on the shel rosh? What should a person do at this point?

Answer:

The hand that touched the upper hand can be rubbed against the wall, or something else. Although washing with water is preferable, this is a common custom, and I have seen marked halachic authorities doing this.
