Mikva at Home

Is there any hakpoda on having a mikvah in one’s home?

Answer:

There is no kepeidah in having a mikva in one’s home, and this was (and remains) common practice for many gedolei yisrael.

However, it is not customary to have a women’s mikva at home (apart from in regimes where communal mikva’os are banned), because of the need for somebody to check that the immersion was good, and because of the rigorous requirements of halachah.

For a men’s mikva, the standards are not the same, and several rabbis and rebbes have mikva’os at home.
