Mistake in Ha-Melech Ha-Kadosh

During chazaras Hasatz of Yom Kippor, the chazzan said “Hamelech Hamishpat” instead of “Hamelech Hakadosh.” He didn’t understand why there was a commotion in shul and continued davening. Should he have to start chazaras Hashatz over again? or since there are so many additions anyway he could just say that bracha again?
Thank You

Answer:

A mistake in the berachah of Ha-Melech Ha-Kadosh obligated a person to start from the beginning, and this is what the chazzan should have done.

Mistakes of the chazzan are unfortunate, and often go uncorrected because of the public nature of the mistake.
