The government distributes checks with specific items written on it, for example orange juice, milk etc. to families with children, in order to promote healthy eating. Is it permissible to purchase different items instead as long as the price is equal or is it gezeilah?

Answer:

It will not be considered gezel to use the checks for other purposes.

However, it is correct to use the checks for their designated purpose, in particular where there may be a potential of chilul Hashem involved.
