Someone prayed to G-d that I should get punished should I be worried? Why/why not?
Answer:
I shouldn’t worry very much, the reason being that Hashem decides who to punish and when, and the Divine supervision of reward and punishment, or other factors, is not generally influenced by the prayers of a third party.
On the other hand, the prayer cannot be entirely ignored, for we find numerous instances in which prayers for people to be punished were answered, and it therefore appears that prayer can be a “trigger” for punishment to be meted out.
Therefore, it is certainly advisable to make up with the person in question. If this is not possible, one shouldn’t worry very much, because there’s nothing to do about it anyway.
