Somebody who Underwent a Gender Change

A male in my community had a gender change while not Orthodox and is now considering becoming frum. As s/he considers himself a woman s/he sits on the women’s side of the mechitza. Is this correct?

Because he considers himself a lady, it is fine that he should sit in the ladies section, in particular because he probably looks like a lady.

There will apparently not be a problem concerning his own “hirhurim,” because he is clearly not attracted to women.

The matter of his performance of mitzvos is of course a different issue, but this is not the issue of the question.
