Procedure for Separating Terumah and Maaser

Someone who finds himself in place where he can’t buy fruits and vegetables with a good hechsher. What is the seder exactly of taking trumas and maasros on the fruits/vegs?
In a case where he has a coin to be podeh them on and in a case when he doesn’t have a coin (but his friend said he may use his coin.) How does this work exactly, what should be said and done. What’s any source for this?

Answer:

The procdedure can be found here.

There is no problem with using somebody else’s coin, provided there is enough ‘space’ left in the coin, and provided one has permission. In fact, one of the most convenient options for redeeming maaser sheini is to sign up with the “keren maasros,” whereby you buy the right to use the coins designated by the maasros fund.

One should declare that the maaser sheini should be redeemed on one perutah of [ploni’s] coin that is designated for maasros.

Best wishes.
